New Construction Rough-In — First Fix Plumbing
First-fix plumbing (the rough-in) is installed when the building is framed but before insulation and drywall. This stage includes: laying all drain and vent pipe through the floor and walls, stubbing out supply lines to fixture locations, installing the main vent stack, connecting to the building’s main drain, and bringing the supply water in from the meter.
